Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026
The terms that govern using this site and buying from the store.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of selahydt.com ("the site") and any purchase made through it. The site is operated by Selah Anu Weekes, a sole proprietor doing business as Selah You Did That?, a Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based music producer. By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.
The Site & What It Sells
The site sells digital goods — beats, sample packs, and drum kits — along with custom beat requests and 1-on-1 production lessons. Everything sold through the store is delivered digitally; nothing physical ships.
Accounts & Purchases
No account is required to buy from the store. Checkout is handled by Stripe; by completing a purchase you authorize Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for the listed price. All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise on the page.
You're responsible for providing an accurate email address at checkout — your download link and receipt are sent there, and we can't resend to an address you didn't provide correctly.
Licensing of Beats, Samples & Drum Kits
Buying a beat, sample pack, or drum kit does not transfer ownership or copyright to you — it grants you a license to use it under the specific terms of the license tier you purchased (e.g. MP3 Lease, WAV Lease, Exclusive). Each license tier has its own agreement covering what you can and can't do with the file (streaming limits, commercial use, exclusivity, credit requirements, and so on), shown at checkout and available to read in full on the beat's page before you buy.
If anything in a specific license agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the license agreement controls for that purchase.
Unless your license says otherwise, you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or claim authorship of any beat, sample, or drum kit sold on this site, in whole or in part, on its own.
Custom Beat Requests
Submitting a custom beat request is not a purchase or a guarantee of work — it starts a conversation. Pricing, timeline, and scope are confirmed by email after the request is reviewed, and any payment terms for custom work will be agreed on directly with you before work begins.
Lessons & Bookings
Lessons are booked through an embedded Cal.com calendar. Booking, rescheduling, and cancellation are handled through that calendar and are also subject to Cal.com's own terms of service.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or interfere with the site's security, checkout, or delivery systems
- Upload or submit content through any form on the site that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute the site's content outside of what your license permits
Intellectual Property
All content on this site — beats, samples, drum kits, cover art, branding, and site design — is owned by Selah unless a license agreement says otherwise, and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws.
Refunds
Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The site and everything sold through it are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Selah is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or anything purchased through it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific purchase giving rise to the claim.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
