This Privacy Policy applies to selahydt.com ("the site," "we," "us"), operated by Selah Anu Weekes, a sole proprietor doing business as Selah You Did That?, a Toronto, Ontario-based music producer selling beats, sample packs, drum kits, custom beat requests, and 1-on-1 production lessons. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.

We built this site to touch as few third-party services as possible, and this policy only describes the ones actually wired into the code — not a generic list of services a site like this might use.

Information We Collect

We collect information directly from you in a few specific places:

• Purchases. When you buy a beat, sample pack, or drum kit, checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive your email address (to send your download) and the order details (what you bought, the license, the price) — we do not receive or store your card number.
• Custom beat requests. The request form collects your name, email address, and the details you provide about the beat you want.
• Lesson bookings. Booking a session through the Lessons page uses an embedded Cal.com calendar. The name and email you enter there go directly to Cal.com to confirm your booking; see "Third-Party Services" below for how Cal.com handles that information.
• Exclusive offers. If you submit an offer on a beat, we collect your email address and the offer amount so we can respond.

Your shopping cart is stored locally in your own browser, not on our servers — we never see what's in your cart until you actually complete a purchase through Stripe.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above only to:

• Fulfill and deliver your purchase, including sending the automatic download email after checkout
• Respond to custom beat requests and exclusive offers
• Confirm and manage lesson bookings
• Answer questions you send us directly
• Keep records needed for accounting, tax, and fraud prevention

We do not send marketing or promotional emails unless you've separately agreed to that, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

Third-Party Services

The site connects to exactly five outside services. Here's what each one does and what it sees:

• Stripe — processes all payments. Stripe Checkout collects your payment details directly; our own code never receives or stores your card number. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — sends the automatic download email after a purchase and other transactional emails (custom beat confirmations, exclusive offer responses). Resend sees your email address and the content of that email. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
• Sanity — stores the beat, sample pack, and drum kit catalog (titles, audio files, cover art, license text). Sanity never receives customer personal information.
• Cal.com — powers the booking calendar on the Lessons page. If you book a session, your name, email, and the booking details are sent to and stored by Cal.com. See Cal.com's Privacy Policy. The calendar only loads after you allow third-party embeds (see "Cookies" below).
• YouTube — hosts the embedded videos on the Showcase page. Videos only load after you allow third-party embeds, and use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may collect information about your viewing once a video is loaded. See Google's Privacy Policy.

We don't run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other analytics or advertising tracker on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated to reflect it before any tracking goes live.

Cookies

We don't set tracking or advertising cookies ourselves. The site stores your cart and your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so it works as expected; that information stays on your device. Stripe, Cal.com, and YouTube, as embedded third-party services, may set their own cookies. Stripe is needed for checkout. The Cal.com calendar and YouTube videos only load after you choose "Allow all" on the cookie banner, and you can change that choice any time using "Cookie Settings" in the footer. See our Cookie Policy for details. Those companies' own policies, linked above, govern what they collect.

Data Retention

We keep order and booking records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes (typically at least the period required by Canadian tax law), and custom beat request or offer messages for as long as needed to respond to and resolve them. You can ask us to delete information we hold that isn't required to be kept for those reasons — see "Your Rights" below.

Your Rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@selahydt.com, or by using this pre-filled data deletion request. We'll respond within 30 days. Because payment, email delivery, and booking data live with Stripe, Resend, and Cal.com respectively, some requests may need to be made to those services directly as well — we're happy to point you in the right direction.

International Data Transfers

Stripe, Resend, Sanity, and Cal.com may store or process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. By using this site, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations, subject to each provider's own privacy and security practices.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian make the purchase or booking, or confirm their consent by email before booking a lesson. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information without that consent, contact us at info@selahydt.com and we'll remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, if we add a new third-party service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
